James Dean Fountainheads Collector's Edition F.
James Byron Dean (1931-1955) was an American actor, cultural icon, symbol of the disenchantment and social alienation of the adolescents of the time, perfectly represented by his most acclaimed film, Burned Youth 1955, in which he impersonates the soil of tor Jim Stark.
This edition features a body and hood in fine red resin, a reference to the red leather jacket Jean wore in the film, while the motif is inspired by his jeans. The clip represents a pistol, a homage to the famous scene from the 1956 film The Giant. The cap ring is engraved with one of James Dean's most famous phrases: Dream as if you'll live forever. Live as if you'll die today. (Dream as if you were to live forever. Live as if you were to die today.) The cone carries the engraving of the coordinates of James Dean's memorial.
The overall design is inspired by the knife that James Dean uses in the movie Burned Youth. The clip pays homage to the film's shotgun. The pattern engraved on the body and hood is inspired by the jeans the actor wears in Burned Youth.
